Resident Camp (ages 6-15)
Our Traditional camp programs allow children to experience a wide variety of activities and adventures. These activities are used as tools to enhance a camper’s self-esteem, confidence, and ability to interact with others. Children live in a cabin with 10 other children their own age.
They learn to live, eat, work, and play together in a positive Christian setting. Two well-qualified staff members live with the children and provide them with adult role models through out their stay. Our goal is for the boys and girls to leave camp having had fun, but more importantly, to leave feeling good about themselves, their accomplishments, and the friends they made during the week. Our Traditional camping programs; Climbers, Mountaineers and Explorers are designed to offer a well-balanced program of activities to suit the interests and needs of all ages.
Adventure/Leadership Programs (ages 12-16)
Camp Hanes offers a variety of teen programs to better suit our older and more mature campers. Adventure Trips for the teens that want to challenge themselves in a new environment away from camp; and our leadership programs, LIT and CIT, that offer teens the opportunity to learn and put into practice leadership skills with children and within their peer group.
Day Camp (ages 6-12)
Camp Hanes’ day camp serves communities in Stokes County and Forsyth County. We provide three convenient bus pick-up/drop-off locations at William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA, and Fulton Family YMCA in Forsyth County and Stokes Family YMCA in King. Weekly activities include canoeing, zip line, swimming, arts and crafts, and many more!
