Cabin Centered Activities

Throughout the week you will be participating in several activities with your cabin group. These activities are decided upon by your group on the first day of camp and a schedule is created to fit all of the fun activities into your week! Your cabin time could include things such as Treetop Zipline, Alpine Tower, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Water Zipline, Saura Screamer water slide, The Blob, Matrix, Pool Time, Cooking, Creek study, Diving boards, Hiking and any other creative group activity your cabin comes up with!

Choice Activities/Classes

Our Mountaineers and Explorers will have the opportunity when they arrive Sunday to choose three activities that they will participate in each day. These activities are set up to gradually teach skills throughout the week and may include such things as Archery, Riflery, Sports, Arts & Crafts, Kayaking, Climbing, Newspaper, Photography, Drama, Music, Science, Fishing and Dance. If you choose to partake in one of our specialty activities this is the time you would select those activities as well.

Evening Activities

Evenings at Camp are full of energy, excitement and fun. We start the week off right with a Campfire full of silly songs, skits and costumes. Throughout the week your cabin will get the chance to take part in the camp classic activity of roasting marshmallows and making S’mores. A Camp Hanes must is the game of Rocks – a camp twist on Capture the Flag. You may also find yourself at a Pool Party or dancing the night away at the Camp Hanes Party. Whatever the night brings your sure to have a blast!
